Service Credits Terms
Terms for purchasing, receiving, consuming, expiring, and disputing Grik.io service credits.
Service Credits Terms
1. Scope
These Service Credits Terms apply to the purchase, receipt, allocation, consumption, and use of credits in Grik.io, including Hosted Inference, Grik Gateway, Rico video/media generation, render jobs, managed agents, cloud execution, team workspaces, and other paid features.
These Terms supplement the Public Offer / Terms of Service, Usage Policy, and Privacy Policy. For credit-specific matters, these Service Credits Terms control in the event of conflict.
2. BYOK remains free
Using Ricochet with your own API key (BYOK) does not require purchasing Grik.io service credits if requests are sent directly to your selected AI provider or local model without using paid Grik.io infrastructure.
Service credits may be required when you use Grik.io Hosted Inference, Grik Gateway, cloud key storage, managed agents, Rico rendering, team features, or other features that consume Grik.io infrastructure.
3. What Service Credits are
Service Credits are internal units of access to certain paid Grik.io features. They may be purchased, granted as a bonus, included in a subscription, or issued as part of a promotion.
Service Credits are not money, currency, e-money, a bank account, a payment instrument, a digital wallet, a stored value account, or a property right to any cash amount.
4. Types of credits
| Type | Description | Example use |
|---|---|---|
| Purchased Credits | Credits purchased by a user or organization. | Top-up balance for Hosted Inference or Rico. |
| Monthly Credits | Credits allocated as part of a subscription. | Credits included in Creator / Pro / Team plans. |
| Bonus Credits | Additional credits linked to a purchase or subscription. | Bonus for annual payment or large package. |
| Promo Credits | Free promotional credits. | Trial, referral, launch bonus. |
| Enterprise Credits | Credits under an invoice, agreement, or workspace. | Team or company limits. |
5. Purchase and allocation
Prices, available packages, consumption rates, bonuses, taxes, and applicable limits are displayed in Grik.io, invoice, checkout page, billing dashboard, or another product location before purchase or use. Prices and limits should not depend on frontend hardcode; the source of truth should be the backend, database, billing system, or other controlled price list.
If a payment provider, bank, or card network rejects a payment, Grik.io may withhold credits or suspend access until payment is confirmed.
6. Credit consumption
Credits may be consumed for input tokens, output tokens, reasoning tokens, tool calls, image/video/audio generation, render time, GPU time, storage, bandwidth, agent runtime, cloud execution, gateway routing, priority queue, team features, and other resources shown in the product.
The actual cost of a request may depend on selected model, provider, context length, output length, cached tokens, retries, media resolution, duration, seed, priority, and technical parameters.
7. Changes to rates and price list
AI providers, GPU providers, and payment services may change prices. Grik.io may change rates, consumption multipliers, available models, and credit consumption rules. Changes apply prospectively and are published in the UI, API, or documentation.
If a model becomes unavailable, unsafe, too expensive, or non-compliant with provider rules, Grik.io may replace, limit, or remove it.
8. Expiration and unused credits
Unless expressly stated otherwise at purchase or in an agreement, Purchased Credits expire 12 months after purchase. Monthly Credits apply during the relevant billing period unless the UI states otherwise. Promo Credits may have shorter expiration periods.
Expired credits may be cancelled without compensation unless applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Refunds and errors
All sales of credits and digital services are final unless required otherwise by applicable law. Credits are not refundable, redeemable for cash, transferable, or resalable.
If credits were consumed due to a confirmed Grik.io technical error before a result was provided, Grik.io may restore credits to your balance. Dissatisfaction with creative or probabilistic AI output alone does not guarantee a refund if resources were actually consumed.
10. No transfer and abuse
Credits may not be sold, gifted, transferred, leased, used as a payment method, pooled outside permitted team/workspace features, or monetized outside Grik.io.
In cases of fraud, chargeback abuse, exploits, limit circumvention, multi-accounting, stolen payment instruments, or Usage Policy violations, Grik.io may suspend the account and cancel promotional credits.
11. Balance and disputes
You are responsible for checking your balance, usage history, workspace limits, and billing settings. Reports of disputed consumption should be sent within a reasonable time, preferably within 30 days of the transaction, with account, time, model, job ID, or request ID details.
12. Taxes and fees
You are responsible for applicable taxes, levies, bank fees, card network fees, exchange rate differences, and other charges where applicable. Prices may be shown exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.
